Certified Novell Engineer

Novell offers the Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) designation to professionals passing the CNE exam. The NetWare 5 Administration Test evaluates skills in network planning, installation and configuration, performing system upgrades, and managing network databases. The NetWare 5 Advanced Administration test evaluates skills in designing, configuring, and administering a complex NetWare 5 network. Cisco Certified Associates

Cisco offers the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) designation to professionals passing exams covering the installation, configuration, and operation of simple-routed LAN, routed WAN and switched LAN networks. The Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) designation indicates a working knowledge of designing routed and switched networks involving LAN, WAN and dial access services for networks with fewer than 100 nodes. CompTIA A+ Certification and CompTIA Network+ Certification

CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, offers the A+ Certification exams, a testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (six months experience) service technicians in the computer industry.
