introduction
A local company had undergone a period of rapid growth, and with it the introduction of new, young members of staff and technology. All of the staff were very competent in using this technology, but the older employees were less able to adapt. In particular, one of the owner/directors had never been able to adjust to computer technology, and was aware of being left behind.
our solution
We designed a specific "workshop" course, delivered in our own training centre, to help the director to learn the basics of computing, and also to remove the fear and mistrust they had. Starting from the very basics, ie how to start up, use a mouse etc, we then moved on to the simple tasks of word processing and spreadsheets, and email.
the outcome
The outcome was that by the end of the course, the director was much more competent in using the computer, and was armed with sufficient understanding to use the computer on a regular basis. A subsequent follow-up meeting confirmed that all of the requirements had been fully met, and that the director had been able to move on to more complex tasks with confidence gained from the initial training.
